Arsenal midfielder, Lucas Torreira, has insisted he is “fine” after being stretchered off during their 2-0 win at Portsmouth in the FA Cup fifth round.
Torreira went down after clashing with James Bolton and was eventually replaced by Dani Ceballos after receiving lengthy treatment on the pitch.
There were initial fears that the Uruguay international had suffered a serious injury, but he has now allayed those fears.
“It (the ankle) twisted, but I can move it. I’m fine,” he told ESPN.
Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta, also offered an update on Torreira after the game.
“Lucas was very sore and is in a brace,” he told BT Sport .
“He will be assessed in a few days and then we will know more.”
