Obaseki’s reelection gets boost as Jattu Progressive Union endorses governor, deputy

…hails leadership style, sterling performance

Ahead of the 2020 gubernatorial election in Edo State, Jattu Progressive Union (JPU) Uzairue, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State has endorsed the second term bid of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy and running mate, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, promising to mobilise voters across the LGA to ensure their victory in the September 19, 2020 poll.

The endorsement was conveyed in a letter by JPU, Benin Chapter, and signed by the Chairman, Rev. Dr. Felix Oshionebo; Secretary General, Mohammed Kassim; Vice Chairman, Pastor J.A. Ukpokodu; Public Relations Officer, TPL Bismark Oshiokpekhai; Auditor General, Alhaji Muhammed Amionalumhe and the Galadima of Uzairue, Chief Alh. Yusuf Bello.

According to the group, the endorsement was informed by the developmental strides of the Governor and his deputy in their community and the entire state.

They pledged their unflinching support and votes for the PDP to enable the governor consolidate on his achievements in the first term.

The letter titled: Letter of Congratulation and Endorsement for His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor for a Second Tenure in Office, reads, “Members of the Jattu Progressive Union, Benin and the entire Uzairue people wholeheartedly rejoice and congratulate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State and the Deputy Governor on their well deserved chieftaincy titles conferred on them by His Royal Highness, the Ogieneni of Uzairue Kingdom and also their successful completion of ward-to-ward electioneering campaign tour throughout Edo State.

“The entire people of Uzairue are proud of you and your Deputy for the milestone developments and achievements in Edo State, too numerous to mention.”

“In the light of the above, we unanimously decided to endorse the Governor and his deputy for a second term in office to make Edo State great again.”
