Manchester United have not unveiled Odion Ighalo, three days after the club confirmed a loan deal with Shanghai Shenhua.
The Red Devils spent transfer deadline day trying to bring in a striker, with Marcus Rashford out with back fracture.
United were heavily linked with Bournemouth’s Josh King, before the Ighalo rumours began to spread late in the evening.
Just before the day ended, the statement arrived.
“#MUFC can confirm that Odion Ighalo will join us on loan from Shanghai Shenhua until the end of the season. Welcome, Odion!” a tweet read.
However, that is the last time the Old Trafford outfit has released any information about the Nigerian frontman.
Fans are still waiting to see Ighalo in the red colours of United, with either 11, 19 or 25 on his back.
There is, however, no chance the deal has fallen through, as Ighalo is currently at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, waiting to live his childhood dream.
