Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, will be required to go into self-isolation, after returning to the UK from Barcelona, SportsMail reports.
However, the Spaniard will be available for the start of the 2020/2021 season.
If Guardiola returned to the UK on Saturday he couldn’t, under Government rules, report to the club’s training complex until September 11 at the earliest.
Government guidelines state that anyone arriving from Spain to the UK must quarantine for 14 days.
Most of City’s first-team players are not due to return to pre-season training until the upper week, due to their involvement in upcoming international matches.
The Premier League season kicks off September 12. But City begin their campaign nine days later, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Their delayed start is due to their involvement in the latter stages of the Champions League last month.
