Failed NDDC Job: I need my money back, furious Odubu tells Senate President, Lawal

…says he is tired of being used, resolves to take his destiny in his hands
Disenchanted and furious over the series of broken promises made by the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former deputy governor of Edo State, Dr Pius Odubu has demanded the refund of all money spent to secure the ill-fated chairmanship position of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
A competent source told thenewspanorama that Odubu is furious  that he is just being used by Oshiomhole.
“First Oshiomhole promised to make Odubu the chairman of the NDDC board, a pursuit that hit the rocks. Then Oshiomhole promised to give the APC gubernatorial ticket in Edo State to Odubu.
“Again this also failed, as Oshiomhole, against all permutations, handed it over to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his erstwhile sworn political enemy, through a shadow primary election held at the instance of Oshiomhole in Abuja.
“Odubu has suddenly realised that he is just being used by Oshiomhole and has decided to take his destiny in his hands” the source said.
He added that “Odubu has initiated a series of plans to reclaim what is left of his dignity by sending words to the Senate President, Ahmed Lawal, to refund the money he paid during his screening for the NDDC top job to Lawal, through Adams Oshiomhole, and the Deputy Senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege.”
Our source revealed that “the Senate president has been dragging his feet on the request, but the furious Odubu is not having it. Odubu said he just wants his money back.”
Lawal’s cold feet, according to our source, “stems from the discrepancy between what Odubu is demanding and what actually got to him for the job.
“What we can deduce from the matter is that the money Odubu paid for himself and Mr Victor Ekhator’s screening and confirmation was not the amount Oshiomhole handed over to the Deputy Senate President. Omo-Agege in turn, handed just a fraction of what Oshiomhole gave him to the Senate President for the screening and confirmation. So the Senate President is disturbed that the money Odubu paid was pilfered by Oshiomhole and his deputy, Senator Omo-Agege, which explains why Lawal is dragging his feet about the request.”
The news that Odubu may have obtained the nomination form as an aspirant in the forthcoming APC primary election is a pointer to Odubu’s resolve to take his destiny in his hands as explained by our source.
Apparently, Odubu needs all the money he can muster at the moment to challenge other contestants in the APC primary election, and the millions of naira he paid to members of the Senate committee that carried out his screening for the botched NDDC board chairmanship job is a good place to start.
Odubu’s request is also a strong message to Oshiomhole, that never again will he give himself to the APC chairman’s manipulations.
