… offer cult kingpin N50m to stir chaos
In an attempt to save the derailed campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s gubernatorial candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his sponsors have resorted to baiting government appointees with N1m to resign their appointments and embarrass the Peoples Democratic Party-led government.
It was gathered that the move was engineered by the sacked National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Benin billionaire, Captain Hosa Okunbo.
An impeccable source, who is aware of the recent move by Oshiomhole and Okunbo, said the plan also include to throw the state into chaos using thugs and violence, and added that the duo are actively working for the interest of the candidate of the APC, who they are funding.
According to him, “Comrade Oshiomhole and Okunbo have offered to pay any government appointee who resigns N1m, in an effort to stir disaffection among the appointees and make it seem that they are not in support of the governor and his policies.
“A lot of these people have been approached and more people would be reached in the coming days. They are telling them that they cannot earn up to that amount by November when their appointments would expire and as such they should accept the money and jump ship.”
Another source, who pleaded anonymity, said a cult kingpin has been offered N50 million to intensify civil disturbances and instigate cult wars to create a sense of unease and insecurity in the state.
“The cult leader has just been paid N50m cash by Captain Hosa Okunbo. They are deploying cultists and weaponising them to destabilise the polity in the state.”
