Barcelona have confirmed that forward, Ousmane Dembéle, will be out of action for six months, after undergoing a successful surgery on his right thigh in Turku, Finland on Tuesday.
The La Liga champions disclosed this in a statement on their official website on Tuesday.
DAILY POST recalls that Dembele sustained a right hamstring injury during their UEFA Champions League 3-1 victory over Bundesliga giants, Dortmund last year.
The statement read: “Ousmane Dembéle has successfully undergone surgery in Turku, Finland.
“He was operated on by Dr. Lasse Lempainen for a ruptured tendon in his proximal hamstring in his right thigh.
“The French forward will be out of action for around 6 months.”
